Well, I've been busy. I started working out about a month ago with a friend of mine, at Curves. In that month, I've lost 7.75 inches and 2.25 pounds! I haven't posted recent pictures because I'm waiting to surprise my hubby when he comes home on leave from Iraq. He'll be in for a good surprise, for sure!
Anyway, I had a huge boost today. I came home from running errands to find my dog had scooted under the chain link fence into the neighbors yard, even though he was on his chain. So I knew it was time to move the chain, and I got out the crowbar to help me turn the spike out of the ground, and back in. Well, to my complete surprise, I got the spike out, moved, and back in the ground, and I wasn't even tired! You see, the last time I moved the spike, I could only do a little at a time because it exhausted me and hurt my back. But today, no back pain and no tiredness! I'm so proud of myself for progressing to that point.
Then tonight, after my regular workout, I took the dog for about a 1/2 mile walk. Again, no back pain, and not really tired (even though the dog was panting pretty heavy!). I just feel so awesome that I've progressed to being able to walk like that, and do physical, strenuous activity without feeling utterly exhausted afterward!
So the boys beware, I'll be ready to hike and swim a lot when we get to Hawaii next spring!
