Well, we're winding down the summer here, and Vincent will be going back to his father's house, bummer. Brandon is due to head out for two weeks of leader's course. He'll be on base, but I won't be able to see or talk to him for that two weeks. Then he's headed to Iraq (AGAIN) in October. So it looks to be a hugely long winter for me. Maybe I can get lucky and run away to see Da Boyz in Hawaii!!!!! (Yeah, I wish!) But seriously, I'm going to have to find a job, because my winter is looking to be pretty dull and lonely! Such is the life of a military spouse. But hey, at least we got really great pictures and I've put together an album for Vincent to take back to his grandparents' house in Montana, so he'll have something to remember it by.

Since you wrote it I can't get the image of Dale running around with a blanket over his head out of my head! When did everyone STOP calling him Casper????[LOL][LOL]

I think we finally quit calling him Casper when he was about 12 or 13. It's been many years now, but we could still call him Casper!

Hey no calling me Casper! LOL. Hey yes come and see Da Boyz!!! We could wear you out for the summer. Come work here for awhile. You can sleep on the Queen size futon.[THUMBUP]

That is a hugely tempting offer!! It would keep me busy for the winter, and still pay the bills. But then I have to worry about how to take care of all my stuff here, and the dog!! But thanks anyway!!!!!!!!!
We're still coming after Brandon's deployment, which will be awesome! We plan on staying two weeks, if you don't mind. Don't worry, we'll get a hotel so we don't crowd up your house too much! [THUMBUP]

My ex now deceased husband was stationed at Killeen one time. He was a career Army man, and hard to get along with! [OHMY][SMILE]

Yes, the hubby can be hard to get along with at times. That whole military mindset is difficult at best. But overall he's a great husband and wonderful stepdad to my son (better than my son's donor, as a matter of fact!) And yes, Texas feels like the hottest place on Earth![SMILE][OHMY]
